CLIMATE
 One
of the biggest problems we have in this part of Cornwall apart from
the distance from the rest of the country, is the attitude to our
weather. So often people will say, "Of course you can grow that,
you live in Cornwall!" True we do not get very severe cold weather
like some parts of the country but our average coldest frosts are
in the region of minus 4 to minus 5 degrees C. It is only sheltered
and coastal areas that remain virtually frost free.
The big problem
we do have down here is the wind and the rain. Lots of both! We
are only a mile from the sea and in a very exposed condition. So
whether you want plants for a windy exposed situation or a sheltered
courtyard garden then either way we should be able to help.
