Mail Order
Most of our plants are sent by carrier.
We aim to dispatch orders as soon as possible but as a rule this can take a week to 10 days. If you need a plant in a hurry then give us a call and we will see what we can do. There is no minimum order value but the minimum delivery charge to include the packing is £17.00 for the first 20kg (within UK Mainland, a additional premium is required to cover delivery in Scotland, Ireland and outlying Islands). This covers about 8-10 plants of normal size. Each additional plant will cost £1.00 extra (within UK Mainland) based on a plant in a 3-4 litre pot. If you are unsure about the cost of the carriage, or have an order which is either for a large number of items, or particularly heavy then give us a call and we will be glad to quote. This is for normal weekday delivery. If you are not going to be home then please leave delivery instructions in the box on the order form. Saturday delivery is available as a surcharge.

About our plants
The majority of our plants are in 3-4 litre pots and are of a similar size and quality to a "normal" garden centre. Some of the succulents and Proteas may be in 2-3 litre pots. Whilst every effort is made to supply the best possible plants should any problems arise then we will do our best to resolve them. However any such problems need to be notified within 7 days of receipt in writing. Responsibility for the aftercare rests with the purchaser after delivery, as we have no control over the growing conditions once the plants have left the nursery. The heights when mentioned are always the planted height and do not include the height of the pot.

Payment
We accept most major credit cards. If paying by cheque please use the limited cheque method, i.e. the amount in numbers being left blank and the amount in words shown as less than, for example "seventy pounds" We can then complete the amount when known. This helps in the rare case where a particular plant is on the smaller size, we can then supply the plant at a reduced price unless instructed otherwise.

Substitutes
Substitutes are not sent unless otherwise requested.

Availability
All the plants in the catalogue are available during the coming year but please phone to check on availability before making a special journey to visit us as some varieties may have been sold out. Please note. Plants marked with an asterix are not available until the summer.

Channel Island customers
Please note that we can send most orders by carrier the cost being £45.00 for the first 15 kilos i.e. 6-8 standard size plants and thereafter £2.00 per plant, don't forget that you can take the VAT off the catalogue price. However as there is a height restriction of 1.5m larger plants such as some of the bamboos, tree ferns, palms and some of the trees will need to be transported by special negotiation. For example we can send up to 100 normal size plants or the larger items by Danish trolley, which is priced at £140.00. More than one trolley will attract large discount. Either way these are delivered to your door.

Southern Ireland customers
Please note that we can send most orders by carrier the cost being £40.00 for the first 5 kilos and thereafter £2.50 per kilo. For some form of guidance our normal sized plants weigh around 2 kgs each! Therefore it would be better to consider the Danish trolley option below.

Don't forget that you can take the VAT off the catalogue price. However as there is a height restriction of 1.5m larger plants such as some of the bamboos, tree ferns, palms and some of the trees will need to be transported by special negotiation. For example we can send up to 100 normal size plants or the larger items by Danish trolley, which is priced at £120.00. More than one trolley will attract large discount. Either way these are delivered to your door.

Please note that delivery of Danish trollies is made by lorry so access must be good. Please speak to us about this. .
