Rubus Cockburnianus Golden Vale is a hardy, thicket-forming shrub (max height and spread 2m/6.5ft) with prickly, white stems and fern-like, yellow leaves. Small, saucer-shaped purple flowers are produced in summer (June-August) followed by black fruits September time. Brilliant white shoots are revealed in winter following leaf fall, brightening up dark spots. It should be planted in a sunny spot in a well-drained soil.
