A hardy, evergreen spiny shrub (height and spread to 3m/9.8ft) displaying small white flowers in late spring/summer and bright red berries in autumn, providing much needed colour. It can be grown against a wall as a climber, or as a free standing shrub. It also makes a good deterrent hedge. It can be planted in any fertile, well draining soil at any aspect.
