One of the most attractive of the large varieties of Restio with finely divided foliage when young, maturing to long arching plumes up to 2-3m/6.5-9.8ft tall with feathery foliage - almost appearing as a cross between a grass and a bamboo! It should be planted in a well drained acidic soil, which should be kept moist in the summer. A very handsome, exotic looking plant that has withstood temperatures down to -7oC when mulched with bark or similar. Top growth can be burnt back by hard frosts but will regrow again in the spring. Comes highly recommended!
