A hardy upright shrub (height 90cm/2.9ft, spread 1.2m/3.9ft) with dark green leaves and large, pretty cup-shaped, deep yellow flowers from late spring through to mid-autumn. It should be planted in a sunny spot and back filled with soil mixed with peat substitute and a suitable fertiliser like Trevena Cross slow release.
Potentilla Chelsea Star
A hardy, upright deciduous bushy shrub (height 1-1.5m/3.3-4.9ft, spread 0.5-1m/1.6-3.3ft) with small pinnate leaves and intense golden yellow, star-like flowers from late spring through to early autumn. It prefers a position in full sun or partial shade, and as it is fairly dwarf in nature, looks lovely in low maintenance beds and borders.
