This Hakea can grow to an imposing 3m/9.8ft, but luckily will tolerate pruning! It produces lightly scented cream flowers, complementing its prominent leaf varigation of cream and green in older leaves and pink and green in younger growth. It is able to withstand a wetter soil than most of the Protea family but still prefers a free draining acidic soil in full sun. Mature plants are quite hardy and have been known to tolerate -10oC for short periods.
