A really useful addition to this group of plants, not only does this form (height 2m/6.5ft) have the wonderful yellow flowers of its other family members, in the spring, but the foliage which follows the flowers is mottled and along with the dark stems, gives it a much longer season of interest. It should be grown in full sun to partial shade in any normal garden soil.
Forsythia Ovata Tetragold
Forsythia Beatrix Farrand
Forsythia Week End Courtalyn
A new improved Forsythia bred for its long lasting golden yellow flowers in early spring. This hardy deciduous shrub should reach a height of around 2m/6.5ft and a spread of around 1.5m/4.9ft.
Forsythia x Intermedia Goldrausch
A newer Forsythia introduction, with larger golden yellow flowers than the normal Forsythias, appearing on the length of the previous year’s twigs - great for some welcome colour in the spring or as cut flowers. Will reach to about 2m/6.5ft tall.
