Also known as the Australian mint bush, this aromatic shrub (height and spread around 1.5m/4.9ft) has wonderful lilac flowers in spring. It should be planted in full sun in a well-drained soil – it dislikes any waterlogging, although is prone to drying out quickly so keep an eye on it.
