 Cissus antartica (Kangaroo Vine)
Evergreen climber with glossy deep green foliage and small green flowers in summer followed by black berries.Height 5-15m(15- 50ft) Prune to required height. Plant in humus rich moist soil in part- shade or sun. Will probably stand about minus 3 degrees C.

Slender, vigorous tendril climber from Brazil and Chile with mid green glossy leaves. Green flowers in the summer are followed by shiny black berries. Height up to 10m. Makes a good conservatory plant. Needs fertile, moist but well drained soil in sun or partial shade. Protect from severe frost.

 Hardenbergia violacea (Purple coral pea)
An evergreen ground cover or climbing plant from Australia. Clusters of purple to violet pea shaped flowers are borne from late winter to spring with deep green leathery leaves. A fast growing scrambling plant for covering banks, fences and tree stumps in milder areas. In colder areas grow as a conservatory plant. Hardy to about minus 5 degrees when established. Plant in fertile, free draining soil in full sun or partial shade.

 Hedera canariensis Glorie de Marengo (Canary Island Ivy)
A vigorous climber with light silvery green leaves, variegated creamy white. Can be grown as a houseplant. Height 4m. Evergreen. Foliage colour Silver, Green, White. Frost hardy. Shelter from cold winds. Planting instructions Back-fill with soil mixed with peat and a suitable fertiliser. Harmful if eaten/may cause skin allergy. One of the better climbers for a coastal position.

 Jasmine officinale 'Inverleith'
The new growth is bronze green on the dark green foliage. Flowers are borne in summer and start as red buds that open to scented white flowers. Great for walls and trellis and will grow best in full sun in a free draining soil. Should be hardy in most gardens.

 Kennedia macrophylla
Woody stemmed climber from Australia with leaves up to 15cms long. Each divided into 3 broadly oblong, slightly leathery, deep green leaflets. In summer red flowers are produced which are sometimes yellow splashed. Can either be grown in a conservatory or will grow well in poor sandy soils and will tolerate coastal exposure. Protect from hard frost. Height to 5m.

A fast growing evergreen to semi evergreen climber with purplish red clusters of flowers from June to July,followed by blackish purple berries in the autumn.Height 6-3Oft,just prune to size after flowering or in early spring. Plant in good soil in full sun or medium shade, feed and water well in summer.

This is a great evergreen honeysuckle with yellow flowers with a red splash in the summer. New foliage has a coppery red colour. Reaches about 2-3m tall. Plant in most garden soils in full sun or some shade.

A New Zealand, vigorous, creeping shrub or twining climber. Has very small violin shaped leaves. Scrambling over other plants particularly in the shade this plant will give a jungly effect to most gardens as a climber or ground cover plant. Grows best in fertile, moist but well drained soil. Although pretty hardy it would be best to protect it when the temperature is less than minus 5 degrees
