Withstands hard frosts when mature but protect from severe cold. Specimens available. |

|  | A hardy succulent from Arizona with many inward facing spines and a nasty tip spine, borne on leaves that can reach 1m long and 10cms wide. These leaves are a grey to a deep green colour. As the plant ages a dramatic flower spike appears with umbels of bright golden yellow flowers. This spike can reach 4 –6m high. Plant in full sun in well-drained soil adding plenty of grit if necessary. Height 1 –2 m with a spread of 1.5 –2m. |

Alternatively grow in pots and containers in gritty compost. In our experience hardy to minus 4 degrees C so far. |
